Enacted on the beach, the bride wears a hand-made Mayan dress and the groom wears a white, linen guayabera (Yucatan shirt). A ceremonial exchange of daisy ower bracelets is performed in Mayan, as stirring drums beat within the jungle and a conch-shell horn signals the ritual’s transformations. Flower petals are strewn across the waves to preserve the couple’s good wishes.
